Step 1: Build the structure of the biofilter
Take a container of 12.5 m2 and fix tubes in the ceiling to serve as a water spraying system.
The water spraying system will homogeneously disperse the water on the compost bed.
Step 2: In the container, build the filter: a wood structure with a fence over it The white tube is used to spread stale air under the wood structure
Step 3: Prepare the media
Take wood chips and organic compost and spread them in 3 layers over the fence of the wood structure
For the existing biofilter in Edmonton, we used material from Clover bar site:
At the inferior stage: 3m3 of grounded pallets:
